This post is from Louise at Paging Fun Mums, a really fun blog with a focus on crafts and a healthy sense of humor. Her son Mason had flat head syndrome and wore a helmet to treat it, and Louise made the best of it. Her story is very inspiring, so please check it out.
From Louise:
Hi there,I would love to share my son’s helmet journey with you. My son Mason suffered terribly from Silent Reflux which resulted in him being hospitalised for aspirating on his vomit at 6 weeks of age :(. He was not a happy newborn and spent most of his early weeks/months on his back in a elevated position. We soon noticed his head shape was suffering and sought all kinds of help from our local Dr, Paediatrician and paediatric Physio but without any improvement we sort out a helmet treatment.I cried & cried at the thought if him suffering anymore treatments after all we had endured with his reflux…but I also knew in my heart that his head shape would be a forever reminder of those early days….When life throws you a helmet…have fun with it! That’s what we decided anyway ;). You can read our full story here – http://wp.me/p2Uher-NR
